Internship/Volunteer Program

ERI is seeking interns/volunteers to assist in our day-to-day administrative processes. We also offer customized internships based upon the individuals skills and interest. By being a part of our team, we give the opportunity to learn what it takes for non-profits to build their programs and have access to a network of communities working on sustainable development. At the moment, most of the work has been focused on programs in Africa, but we do offer worldwide programs.

Qualifications: self starter, good writing and research skills, excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, work both independently and collaboratively, be resourceful, and have knowledge of online research as well as MS Word, Excel, Access Database and website development.


Primary duties: Assist with administrative work such as helping with operational duties, data entry, filing, mailing, phone calls, research new foundations and funding opportunities, prepare promotional and development materials, edit proposals, assist in coordinating fundraising events, website maintenance, and building support for on the ground projects.

Location: Primarily at the ERI office in Venice, but some traveling is possible to conferences and meetings.

Hours/Availability: Part-time. Position is available on an ongoing basis.

Salary: Unpaid but can write into a grant proposal a paid position.
