Past Interns/Volunteers
Amy Jacobowitz is a 4th year UCLA undergraduate majoring in History. Amy is Annie's assistant helping he
r oversee all of ERI's current projects. She also provides general administrative and creative support.
Angela Chen is a 4th year UCLA undergraduate majoring in Global Studies and minoring in Political Science. She is currently working on ERI's portal initiative, which will bridge the gap between NGOs, non-profits, and governments to work collectively in addressing issues concerning the developing world.
Anne Flaherty is a 3rd year UCLA undergraduate double majoring in International Development Studies and Geography/Environmental Studies. She will be traveling to Senegal this summer for the UCLA Travel Study seminar and will be working with Antoinette, a fellow intern, to compile information for a UCLA seminar they are hoping to teach next spring. The seminar will cover the basics of eco-village development and focus on sustainable programs of development with an emphasis on Africa. Currently, Anne and Antoinette are finishing up a donation drive to bring much needed supplies to the community of Yoff and the Earth Rights Institute in Dakar.
Antoinette Brou is a 3rd year UCLA undergraduate majoring in International Development Studies. She is currently working alongside Annie on ERI's partnership with UCLA's Travel Study program trip to Senegal. Antoinette will be leaving for Senegal at the end of June 2010.
Camille Surujbhan is a 2nd year UCLA undergraduate double majoring in Political Science and International Development Studies. Currently, she is performing clerical duties for ERI, but hopes to expand her efforts to the portal initiative and will hopefully do the Travel Study program to Senegal next summer.
Genni Low is a 4th year UCLA undergraduate majoring in International Development Studies and minoring in Global Studies. She is currently working on ERI's Safe Water Today program, to send 5,000 water filters to communities in Haiti. She is also working on promotional materials and to raise money for more water filters.
Kristy Nguyen is a 4th year UCLA undergraduate double majoring in Business Economics and Political Science and also minoring in Accounting. She is currently working on ERI's accounting using QuickBooks, updating ERI's financial information, and creating an annual budget.
