Senegal Travel Study Blog Post #1: Pre-departure
Hey!
So we thought we would get the ball rolling with the blog :) It's about 25 days before we leave! Antoinette and I are both a little nervous but very excited. Every day it gets closer to our departure and we experience a mix of emotions as we think of how much the next two months will change our lives. We are currently wrapping up our Senegal drive, we hope it was successful and it gives us a good feeling knowing that we will be able to give back to the community of Yoff. We are also excited to gain the life experiences that will make our UCLA seminar memorable and worthwhile. We are looking forward to sharing these experiences and memories with the UCLA community. We hope to use this blog as a way to organize our thoughts and emotions before, during, and after our trip for the benefit of ourselves and our loved ones who have the opportunity to read this and connect with us while we are overseas.
